No.

These are simple, everyday, common and open ways to make money. And trust me, I’ve tried out some of them myself. I’m also spilling these methods to make $1,000 dollars in a week from my personal experiences with them.

So, let’s dig.

How to Make $1,000 Dollars in a Week: 9 Foolproof Methods

Start a Blog

Blogging is profitable. I can tell you this because I’ve been able to make over $1,000 bucks blogging without spending a dime on anything but my domain name and hosting. I could make more money, I could’ve made less if I didn’t take things as seriously as I did when I started to get “serious” about blogging.

Far away from what you’ll read online nowadays, making money with a blog takes a lot of work now due to the saturated competition in almost every niche you can think about. The good thing is, you can still make a living blogging. It’s no fluff. And it’s one of the realest ways to make $1,000 dollars a week even if you don’t have a degree or you’re taking up a full-time job.

To get started with a blog, you’d need to think of what you’d like to blog about. This should be something you’re passionate about or you know a lot of stuff about. Once you’re done picking a niche, you want to figure out the domain name or the name of your blog; a name you’d like to call your blog.

After that, you can start creating content and building some authority for your blog to get web traffic and eventually monetize your blog. I basically summarized everything. But you’d need this blogging guide to start and grow your blog to $1,000/month in the first year, and eventually take it from there to $10k and even $100k/month.

It takes time for sure, but go through the blogging guide first.

Ride-hailing

If you’ve got a vehicle of your own, you can use services like Lyft, Uber, and Curb. They’re all great apps and ride-sharing services, but you’d want to register with multiple services like this so that you’re able to pick the best trip offers.

So, best practice, stick with Uber and Lyft. And then you can add up whatever or whichever other ride-hailing app of your choice. In the US, these two firms run the industry. However, you’re going to make way more than $1,000 a week as a ride-hailing agent.

Let’s say you work 5 days, and you get paid up to $25/hour taking different trips, that’s about $125 in 5 hours of work. In 5 days, you’d make $625 bucks. With tips coming in, this figure could double.

You could make over $200/day as a driver for Uber. Some drivers who are more experienced and aggressive about the gig earn up to $1,000/day. Some good drivers with enough experience though.

If you’re starting out, you could get lucky too. While $100/week might be a great figure for you, ride-sharing can generate this in a day.

Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing is one of the top ways to make $1,000 in a week in the real world. It all happens online, and you don’t need to have a 150 IQ to make affiliate marketing work. If you’re good at recommending products, that’s all you need to get the affiliate marketing income system rolling.

Firstly, find products that are worth some good money. These are products that can earn you up to $50 in commissions per sale. This way, you’d need just 10 sales to make this work.

Whether it’s a product you’ve used before or some product you’d like to use in the future, learn a lot about it and find the best ways to promote it. Now, affiliate marketing works best when you already have a traffic magnet; something to pull in the traffic.

If there’s no web traffic magnet like a blog, a YouTube channel, or a high profile social media account, then you’d have to spend some money to make the world see your affiliate products.

It’s best to build web magnets at the end of the day. This is because you’d not have to spend a single dime on adverts online to promote your products. If done the right way, you could generate over $20k a week through affiliate marketing.

Of course, there are online entrepreneurs generating over $100,000 dollars a month through selling other people’s products, but it takes an extraordinary level of work.

TikTok Star

TikTok can be addictive

For some time I didn’t blog on this blog (from March 13th 2023 to April 1st 2023), I hold Tik Tok responsible.

Not that I’m a star, some popular or anything like that, but the constantly updating feed of catchy stuff my eyes glued to the screen. That’s by the way. So, if you want to make $1,000 a week, you can become a Tiktok star.

It’s not all that easy either. You either have to serve up consistent values that’ll make people follow you like crazy, shake your waist if you’re a pretty curvaceous being, or consistently talk about a niche with a broad audience like a relationship.

If you’re creative and you’re good at making things out of nothing, you’d become famous on pretty much any social media network. But if you’ve got nothing to offer, then you’d be like the average Joe on social media.

Some ways to monetize your audience once you’ve had 10k+ followers on Tiktok include:

  • Selling affiliate products
  • Promoting sponsored events
  • Promoting sponsored products
  • Selling your own products
  • Promoting your premium services
  • Tiktok pays too

So, making money on Tiktok is easy once you’ve become a star.

And if you’re getting up to 1 million views per video you post in Tiktok, you could earn up to $20 bucks for a single video. This is possible with the Creators’ fund feature on Tiktok allowing content creators to get paid for their content.

Or for making videos.

Programming

Programming for one is a really high on demand skill. If I had the zeal to learn it, I would. But I’m 26 (or 27) right now and I don’t think it’s my thing. If you’re good at programming, then you can very well create an app, monetize it and promote it.

Heck, you’d need to be some really good programmer to make this happen. Thinking of what to build could be more of a brain-twister than the actual coding. So, you’ve gotta think of something you can build as an app and monetize it for people to gain access and make use of it.

This could generate much more money than $1,000/week depending on what the app is and how you go about monetizing and promoting it.

Landscaping

If you’re skilled as a landscaper, you could make up to $100/hour working. Gigs like this don’t come every single day unless you’re some sort of landscaping agency. As a single professional, you’d need to carry out gigs from time to time.

Later on, hiring some other pro landscapers to shoulder more gigs would generate more revenue. But right now, you want to make $1,000/week. It’s possible. If you’re getting paid $100/hour based on your level of professionalism, then you need just 10 hours a week to hit $1,000 bucks.

It’s not all that easy. Some landscaping gigs can be really menial. But they’ll pay even more money. As a landscaper, you can get gigs by checking out job boards like Indeed.com, Craigslist, and Google Jobs

Podcasting

Podcasting is similar to starting an audio blog, but it’s slightly different. There are nuances. They make up the difference. But it’s still an audio blog at the end of the day as long as it’s audio content.

However, podcasting is creating audio content about a niche or events. It can be in series or just individual topics. One way to really get a podcasting channel or blog going is to feature popular voices in a particular niche or just globally relevant people.

Once you start getting a ton of traffic to your podcasts, you’ll also begin to get sponsorships and you can recommend affiliate products from time to time in your podcasts.

It wouldn’t take forever to become an authority in your niche especially if you keep featuring really popular people. Podcasting is one really good way to make money online.

It’s legit.

It can also be really passive if your followers buy your affiliate products and you’re able to monetize your web space (or website/weblog) with ad networks like Ezoic (what I currently use on this blog) or Mediavine (what I want to use in future and what I absolutely dream of using).

Freelancing

Freelancing is basically selling your skills out for money. Don’t worry, you get better as you do this. It’s not like your skills are gonna evaporate someday. You’re honing them along the line.

So, if you’re good at something like writing or making videos, you can sign up as a freelancer on some of the biggest freelancing marketplaces online. Some of them include Fiverr, Freelancer, Upwork, and for writers, you can sign up to join the Problogger network to get high paying writing gigs.

However, there’s a lot you can do online to make money as a freelancer. This also includes taking remote jobs that match your skill set. Freelancing is something that you can do in your spare time even if you’re keeping a primary full-time job. Per week, you could earn $1,000 dollars with a single freelancing gig. You could earn more.

Photography

At events, photographers take the lead and capture all the beautiful moments for couples or celebrants to rewatch later in the cool of the evening. This could be your job if you’re into photography or if you’re looking to make $1,000 dollars a week on the side.

Basically, photography doesn’t take forever to learn. So, if you’re not a photographer or you’ve never been, you can start learning about photography and the prerequisite equipment you’d need.

Other than making money off taking pictures at events, you can take beautiful pictures and sell them online. Yes, there are websites to sell your photos on provided you’ve got some mind-blowing photos in your portfolio. Personally captured by you.

How to Make $1,000 Dollars in a Week: 9 Foolproof Methods – Summary

If you want to make $1,000 dollars in a week, some of the best ways to make this happen include freelancing, getting into the photography industry, podcasting (like WTF with Marc Maron), blogging not for the fun but for the money of it, ride-hailing if you’ve got a vehicle of your own, landscaping (if you’re skilled at the task), programming for freelance clients; or building your own monetizable app, affiliate marketing, and Tiktok audience monetization (after becoming a Tiktok star).

There are more ways to make $1,000 dollars weekly, and whether they’re more risky or risk free or time demanding, the good thing is that you can make a lot of money if you’re dedicated. One last one I’d like to mention (that I kinda lifted off this list) is trading crypto.

Heck, there’s no limit to how much money you can make but there’s a catch; you’d have to learn to trade or invest in the right assets.
